RPF Constable Recruitment 2014 Notification, Application Procedure


Railway Board of the Ministry of Railways of the Government of India has notified RPF constable recruitment 2014. Applications are invited from eligible male and female candidates for the post of ancillary staff in different grades in pay band Rs 5,200-20,200/-in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Interested applicants wishing to apply for RPF Recruitment for constable in different grades are required to apply within 30 days of the publication of the advertisement. Candidates from far fledged areas can apply within 37 days before the publication of the advertisement.

Eligibility Criteria:-

• Age Limit: Applicants aged between 18 and 25 years of age as on 01.01.2014 are eligible.
• Applicants born between 01.01.1989 and 01.01.1996 are eligible to apply (inclusive of both days).
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by

a. 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
b. 3 years for OBC candidates.
c. 3 years for Ex-servicemen.
d. 5 years in case of candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

• Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Educational qualification other than central or state board should be accompanied with government notification stating that the qualification is equivalent for Class 10 pass for service under central government or ITI.
