· STEP 01: Log on to UPSC online application website for various exams http://upsconline.nic.in/index.php

· STEP 02: Create a Login ID in case you are a new user.

· STEP 03: Click on Online Recruitment Application (ORA) link for IAS Exam.

· STEP 04: Next Click on Apply Online Link.

· STEP 05: Log into account with user name and password.

Gujarat SET 2014 Exam Dates | Notification | Pattern

Gujarat State Eligibility Test or GSET is a state government conducted lecturer eligibility test. Administered by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda this test is a pre-requisite for aspirants wishing to teach as lecturers in colleges and universities in the state. SET issues qualifying certificates to candidates who clear the exam. These candidates can then apply for the post of lecturer in colleges and universities in the state.

 




Important Dates for Gujarat SET 2014:


· Starting of Fee Collection : 20 - 05 - 2014.
Last day for Computerised Bank Challan Generation : 02 - 07 - 2014(till - morning 08.00 hrs).
Last day for Fee Collection : 02 - 07 - 2014.
Last Day for Online Application Submission : 05 - 07 - 2014 (till – 18 hours).
Last Day for receiving the documents at Gujarat SET office, Vadodara: 10 - 07 - 2014.

Eligibility for Gujarat SET 2014:-

· Qualification: Candidates who have completed or are presently studying in the final year of a UGC specified masters degree are eligible to apply.

· Aggregate: Minimum 55 percent marks without rounding off (general category candidates).

· Aggregate relaxation: Minimum 50 percent marks without rounding off (SC/ST/General category candidates).

· Candidates whose qualifying results have been delayed are also eligible to apply for SET. These candidates must obtain their result within two years from the date of examination. If they fail to do so their result will be treated as disqualified.

· PhD degree holders with masters level examination has been completed before a stipulated date will be given relaxation of five percent in aggregate.

· Age Limit: There is no upper age limit.

Exemption:-

Exemption from SET will be as per the decision of the UGC and the state government.

· NET and SET remains the minimum eligibility criteria.

· However candidates with a  UGC approved PhD degree from a recognized university are exempt.

· Qualified candidates who have cleared state eligibility test held prior to 1st June, 2014 are exempt from appearing for this exam.

CMAT Preparation is different from other MBA exams in India. The reason being the exam does not have any sectional limits. MANAGE- Manage your time both during study as well as while solving the paper. Allocate enough time for all sections. While allocating time for paper solving start attempting the section you are most confident about and then move on to the section that are you are not so good at.

Individuals wishing to apply for CMAT 2015-16 (first test) are required to apply online on www.aicte-cmat.in through application form. 

Please note that no other mean or mode of application is accepted for this test. 

CMAT SEPTEMBER 2014 EXAM FEE

Gen/OBC: Rs 1400 + bank charges
SC/ST/PD: Rs 700 + bank charges



Before you start your CMAT 2015 online application we suggest that you keep the following ready: 

a) Qualification based details.
b) Scanned copy of latest passport sized photograph of resolution 140 x 160 and file size of 60 kb.
c) Scanned copy of signature of resolution 60 x 90 and file size of 30 kb. 
d) Valid email-ID (that would be active for the next six months)
e) Valid mobile number (information regarding the exam may also be sent to this registered number)
f) Debit or credit card (in case you intend to pay application fee online).
g) A computer with good internet connectivity. 
h) A printer connected to your system (in case you intend to pay CMAT application fee in cash you would be required to take three printouts of the bank challan)

Following is the simple three step registration process for CMAT 2015-16 (First Test) 

STEP #1 Reading of Instructions and Self Registration:

• Read instructions carefully and accept the declaration for online application.
• Enter your basic details in the online self registration form.
• Check the details you have entered carefully and once this is done click on the "Submit" button. (note that information once submitted cannot be edited at a later stage).  
• After doing so, you will receive your unique six digit registration number. 

STEP #2  Payment Process:

• Payment of CMAT 2015-16 application fee can be done either by

a) Online Payment: Accepted modes for online payment include credit card, debit card or net banking facility. 


b) Cash payment in SBI: You can also choose to pay application fee for CMAT 2015-16 in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India. All you need to do is to take three printouts of the bank challan available online. Once you have made payment you need to wait for 48 hours (two full days) for your payment to get registered. You will receive an SMS text message or an email confirming the payment of application fee. You will be required to login and then complete the remaining session of registration. 

STEP # 3 Complete Application process:

• Click on the VIEW/MODIFY button to view and correct any details in the CMAT 2015-16 online application form
• Once you have checked the form and are sure that the data you have provided is correct,  click on "PROCEED" button. 
• Once this is done you will be required to tick a checkbox "I have checked all the entries filled in by me and found them correct" and then click on the "SUBMIT" button.
• After "SUBMIT", you need to accept a declaration and click on I Agree. The system will re-confirm to you for "SUBMIT."

After the same you will receive the following message

" THANK YOU FOR SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERING FOR AICTE CMAT SEPTEMBER 2014 EXAM"

CMAT Syllabus is the cornerstone for CMAT preparations. Though the All Indian Council for  Technical Education (AICTE) does not prescribe any defined syllabus for the exam based on the paper pattern and the type of questions  one can prepare for the topics that need to be covered for the exam. Similar to other management tests in India the CMAT paper pattern consist of these four  sections:

 

• Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
• Logical Reasoning
• Language Comprehension
• General Awareness

Following is a list of subtopics that form a part of these section. In terms of the level of difficulty CMAT ranks between being easy and moderate. But there is also scope for something out the box to appear in the exam. However the chances for the same also seem to be limited.

Reading and Comprehension. Jumbled sentences. Sentence Correction and paragraph completion. Idiomatic usage. Subject and Word Agreement.  Pronunciation errors. Modifiers, parallelism and phrasal verbs.
General Awareness
Current affairs and major news of national and international prominence. Personalities in news. Sports news, corporate news. Questions pertaining to subjects of History, culture, geography, economics,politics, Indian constitutions, sports, literature, science and research.

CMAT Colleges Accepting CMAT Score

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is the sole criteria for admission to management programs offered by AICTE approved institutions. CMAT scores are also accepted by the University departments of five states and is one of the five exams to accepted for PGDM admission in India.
