Calicut University offers MCom course through both regular and distance education stream.   The regular course is offered by the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies while MCom through distance course is offered through School of Distance Education. The duration of the MCom programme is two years divided into four semesters and the medium of instruction for the course is english.The basic eligibility criteria for Calicut University MCom programme is graduation in commerce from a UGC or AICTE approved university with a minimum aggregate of 45 percent marks.

Any candidate who has passed B.Com or BBA (e arlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or B.Com, BBA or BBM or BBS degree of any other University or Institute in any state recognized by UGC or AICTE with a minimum of 45% marks is eligible for admission. Calcutta University MCom Admission 2014 | Fees | Syllabus

Calcutta university's MCom course is one of the most popular of post graduate courses offered by the university. The duration of the course is two years with both morning and evening classes. Graduation in commerce is the basic eligibility for candidates wishing to apply for Calcutta University MCom course. Selection to the course is based on order of merit, on the basis of percentage for 60 percent seats and entrance test for the remaining 40 percent seats.

Bangalore University Department of Commerce offers MCom course. Bangalore University's MCom course is of two years duration divided into four semesters and follows semester scheme. Graduation in commerce is the general eligibility for admission. Candidates wishing to apply for MCom course of Bangalore university are required to do so online.

Pune University MCom Course is of two years divided into two parts, Part I and II with  four semesters. The course follows semester pattern with credit system and has an intake capacity of 60 seats. Graduation in commerce is the basic eligibility criteria for Pune University MCom course.An entrance test is conducted as per selection procedure for MCom in Pune University.The entrance exam tests applicants with questions in commercial mathematics and reasoning. Entrance test and qualifying score in bachelors exam is equally considered for selection.

Duration:- The M.Com (Semester pattern with Credit System) degree Programme shall be of 2 years’ duration divided into two parts, Part I and Part II, and 4 semesters.

Mumbai University MCom Admission 2014 | Fees | Syllabus

Mumbai University is rated among the top universities for M Com in India. The university's Institute of Distance Education (IDE) offers MCom through distance mode and through affiliate institutes. This academic programme is divided into four semesters, broadly classified as part I and part II. Candidates with B.Com, BMS, BBI or BAF degree are eligible to apply. Non resident indians and foreign students  are not eligible to apply for the Mumbai University MCom programme. Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun Admission 2015 Notification, Application Procedure

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun is an inter service institute under the Ministry of Defence. RIMC is dedicated towards providing education to boys aged between 11 ½ and 18 years of age. These aspirants are selected through an all India competitive examination. The institute prepares candidates for admission to National Defence Academy and NAVAC Academy. If in any case an aspirant does not wish to join these institutes RIMC guarantees full academic support  so that candidate can take admission into any academic course in India.

RIMC Dehradun conducts written entrance exam for admission. Admissions are made to Class VIII only

RIMC Dehradun Admission Eligibility:


Age:-  RIMC Admission is bi-annual i.e., in January and July each year. Candidates (boys only) should not be less than 11 years and 6 months of age but must not have attained the age of 13 years on 01 January (for the term commencing January) and 01 July (for the term commencing July). The process for admission starts one year in advance.

Education:-

Admissions are made to class I (equivalent to class VIII) only. The student should be studying in class VII in a recognized school at the time of admission to RIMC. They should also be medically fit for entry to the college in accordance with medical standards.

Vacancies:-

Generally one vacancy per state is reserved for candidates. However states like UP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu West Bengal and Maharashtra will have two vacancies each.

Test Paper Pattern:- Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All-India Examination held twice a year. The general standard of questions in the entrance examination is of class VII.

There are two sections for the entrance exam :-

Written: - The written part of the examination consists of a test paper in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). Candidates can appear for the Mathematics test in Hindi or English Medium. General Knowledge can be answered in English and Hindi. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % Marks in each subject of the entrance test.

Oral (Viva Voce) :- The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed to assess a candidate's intelligence, personality and confidence.

Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission 2015 Notification, Eligibility, Application Procedure

Rashtriya Military Schools are CBSE associated residential schooling institutions for boys studying in classes VI to XII. Apart from the basic objective of providing education to children of military personnel RMS also prepares students for All India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination as well as for joining the Indian defense forces as officers.

Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission Eligibility:


For VI:-

• Age: - Boys aged between 10 and 12 years as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed Class V from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class V is eligible to appear in the entrance test.

For Class IXth & XI:-

• Age:- Boys aged between 13 and 15 years for class IXth and boys between 15 to 17 years of age for Class XIth as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed in Class VIII for class IXth and passed Class X for Class XI from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class VIIIth and Class IXth is eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Entrance Exam for RMS Admission:-

The Entrance Exam for RMS Admission will be an automated OMR based test with sections of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V Standard.

Reservation of Vacancies

• 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army , Navy and AF ( including Ex servicemen)
• 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired Officers) and wards of civilians.
• 50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action.

Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.

Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission Applications Form and Procedure:


Prospectus and Application forms can be obtained from any of the Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs 350/-(Rs 175/- in case of SC/ST). A copy of Caste certificate is to be submitted in this respect).

Applicants are required to forward self addressed envelope of size 31 cm x 25 cm affixed with Rs 60/- stamp for Prospectus and application form along with Demand Draft for the amount payable at respective Rashtriya Military School ( in favour of “ Principal , Rashtriya Military School”). ALL APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY ROUTED THROUGH RASHTRIYA MILITARY SCHOOLS.
