SSC Sub Inspector Recruitment 2014 Notification, Application Procedure

Online exam applications are now being accepted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for an All India examination scheduled to be conducted for SSC Sub Inspector Recruitment 2014. This recruitment has been notified for the posts of SI in Delhi Police, CAPF and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. A total of 2,892 vacancies have been identified for recruitment. The exams for the same will be conducted on 22nd June, 2014 (Sunday) and 21st September, 2014 (Sunday). Interested and eligible candidates wishing to apply are required to send their application by 11th April 2014 (Friday).

Important dates for SSC Sub Inspector Recruitment 2014:-


• Last date for submission of application: 11th April 2014 (Friday)
• Last date for submission of application: 18th April 2014 (Friday)*

Exam Dates:-

PAPER I: 22nd June, 2014 (Sunday)
PAPER II: 21st September, 2014 (Sunday)

* For individuals from far fetched areas (Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad).

Eligibility Criteria

AGE: (01.01.2014) Candidates aged between 20 and 25 years of age are eligible to apply for SSC SI Recruitment 2014.

AGE RELAXATION:

•SC/ST - 5 years
•OBC - 3 years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

a) For SI in CAPF and ASI posts: Graduation or equivalent qualification from a recognized university in India.
b) For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only: Valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car).

PHYSICAL STANDARD

For Male:-

a)Height - 170 cms
b)For candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K, North - Eastern States and Sikkim - 165 cms
c)For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes - 162.5 cms

Chest:-

•Unexpanded - 80 cms
•Expanded - 85 cms

For Female -

a)Height - 157 cms
b) For candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K, North- Eastern States and Sikkim - 155 cms
c)For all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes - 154 cms

How to apply for SSC SI Recruitment 2014 ?

Eligible candidates are required to apply online through http://ssconline.nic.in or offline (Prescribed application form) on or before April 11, 2014 up to 5:00 PM. The last date for submission of application for individuals of far fetched areas is April 18,2014.

Application Fee : Rs 100/-

• Online mode of payment: through SBI Bank challan
• Offline mode of payment: "Central Recruitment Fee Stamp"
(SC/ST, Ex-servicemen and women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee).

Procedure of Selection:-

a) Written Examination
b)Physical Endurance Test (PET)
c)Medical Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

PAPER 01: June 22, 2014 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (2 hours)
• Part A: General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 Questions: 50 Marks)
• Part B: General Knowledge and General Awarness (50 Questions: 50 Marks)
• Part C: Quantiative Aptitude (50 Questions: 50 Marks)
• Part D: English Comprehension  (50 Questions: 50 Marks)

PAPER 02: September 21, 2014 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (2 hours)
English Lanugage and Comprehension (100 Questions: 100 Marks)

How to apply for IGIT Admission 2014-15 ?

a)Candidate may apply for admission through online or off line (OMR) application for M.Tech & Ph.D Programmes.
b) Prospectus and application form for IGIT Admission 2014 would be available for sale at various branches of Punjab and Sindh Bank in Delhi from March 20, 2014  (Thursday). The cost for both is Rs 750/-.
c) Online submission of forms for M.Tech and PhD programmes would commence from March 15, 2014 (Saturday).
d) Interested applicants can apply online on http://www.igdtuw.ac.in or http://www.igit.ac.in

IGIT Admission procedure 2014

1) B.Tech Programmes

•Candidates would be selected on the basis of JEE Main 2014 (score) and normalised score of class 12 exam.
•The merit list for centralized counselling will be prepared by CBSE.

2) M.Tech Programmes

• M.Tech (Regular): Based on merit cum GATE score.
• M.Tech (part-time): Applications are invited from working professionals.
• Lateral entry to M.Tech (part-time) program: Individuals with NIELIT ‘C’ level qualification are eligible to apply.

3) MCA Program

• Candidates are required to appear for CET Exam Code 105 conducted by GGS IP University
• The exam will be conducted on April 27, 2014 (Sunday) between 10:30 am to 01:00 pm
• Admission to this program shall be done through combined counselling conducted by GGSIP University.

4) PhD Programmes

• Admission shall be on the basis of Research Aptitude Test (RAT) or Interview or both.
• The RAT shall be conducted on 15th June 2014 at IGDTUW, Kashmere Gate Campus.

Seat Reservation for B.Tech Programmes

•85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region
•15% of the total seats for candidates belonging to outside Delhi Region.
•Admission to B.Tech program will be done through on- line counseling to be notified in June 2014 shortly.
