About AFCAT 2015.Serving in the Indian Navy is not an average job opportunity but a calling by all means to serve and be part of a unit known as the Guardian of the skies. Just like there are examinations for MBA entrance, job recruitment, the AFCAT exam is an important test and perfect launch pad for candidates seeking to make a career in the Indian Air Force.
The Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted as part of admission to the following branches in the force
a) Flying Branch
b) Technical branch
c) Ground Duty branch
This examination is conducted once a year. The results of the same are declared within 30 to 40 days of the examination. Successful candidates are required to appear for interview. Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of performance in both written test and interview.

Apply online on website http://careerairforce.nic.in from 07 June 2014 to 03 July 2014.Date of Exam:- 31 August 2014 (Sunday)
Eligibility for AFCAT 2015:-
• Educational Qualification (Flying branch)- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with subjects of maths and physics at class 12 OR B.E/B. Tech (four year) from a recognized university.
• Educational Qualification (Technical branch)- Graduation in relevant technical stream from recognized university.
• Education Qualification (Ground Duty)- Graduation from recognized university
• Aggregate- 60 percent aggregate in all papers put together.
• Age (Flying branch) - Applicants aged between 18 and 23 years age are eligible to apply.
• Age (Technical branch) - Applicants between 18 and 28 years age are eligible to apply.
• Age (Ground duty) - Applicants aged between 20 to 23 years age are eligible to apply.
• Relaxation in age- Upper age limit is relaxable to 25 years in case of candidates with a valid commercial pilot license issued by DGCA (India).
• Physical standards: As prescribed in official notification.

STEP by STEP GUIDE for applying for the AFCAT 2014 exam
• STEP 1: log on to www.careersairforce.nic.in
• STEP 2: read through the instructions for application carefully.
• STEP 3: select new applicant registration for filling form.
• STEP 4: upload soft copies of photograph, signature and thumb impression. (10 to 250 KB in jpeg or jpg format)
• STEP 5: Fill in all necessary details
• STEP 6: Check through the form before final submission
• STEP 7: Submit the form
• STEP 8- on doing so you will receive confirmation through email.

• Total Duration- 2 hours (120 minutes)
