CLAT Syllabus 2015


Common Law Admission Test is a national level examination administered by selected National Law Universities in India. The exam is a single level test for admission to undergraduate (LLB) and post graduate (LLM) courses. Admission is done on the basis of rank performance of candidates. Following is  a detailed CLAT Syllabus for LLB and LLM exam.  Before this is important to understand the pattern of the exam.

I English including Comprehension: The intention of this section is to test aspirants proficiency and command over the English language through grammar and comprehension based questions. In comprehension section you will be assessed on the basis of understanding of central theme and meaning of words in the passage. The grammar questions of this section focus on

III Elementary Maths: This section contains Class 10 elementary maths. This section includes questions in

• Mensuration- Areas and Volumes

Legal Aptitude: This section test candidates aptitude in law. The questions in this section  comprise of legal propositions/ principles and a set of facts to which the said proposition/ principle has to be applied to arrive at a most reasonable conclusion.

Logical Reasoning: The purpose of this section is to check candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include logical reasoning questions in
